Today we picked the first watermelon. It is delicious. We also noticed that the first 3 of the black diamond watermelons have set. We are currently up to our ears in tomatoes.

I was looking at Tracey's Shutterbug photo she took with her canon and close up filter and I decided to compare it to the macro setting on my epson. Not bad. Of course she posted hers larger and has a prettier eye.

Veggies galore today.
This weekend we went to the Lubbock Seekers Society meeting for July.
The subject was Reiki and other healing techniques. . . informative.

Tomatoes have started to come in and the first baby bird has jumped from its nest in our nextdoor neighbor's tree.

Here are the newest roses . . .

and the newest cannas.

The dummy snake has stopped the birds from landing on the cannas and breaking them.

And here come a bizillion more tomatoes,

cantelopes

and watermelon.

Our grandson Stephen and his wife Krista came to visit. They are expecting in November. Krista grew up in Lubbock so she got to show Stephen her old high school haunts. Matt caught them up on Yugovich family history.
