WSJ reporter's sobering letter from Iraq
A Wall Street Journal reporter wrote an email from Iraq in which she told her friends what it was really like there. The letter has been authenticated by the reporter and she has been defended by the journal, which is no liberal media outlet.

Fall has fell
Well, the daytime temperatures are only climbing into the 70's and the other night it dropped into the 40's so it looks like autumn is arriving. One of the things about living at 3000 feet is that even though this is Texas, once the sun heads south, it actually gets cool.
Tomato threshold reached
I don't know if I finally sated my body's lycopene deficency or just reached my threshold for fresh tomatoes, but last week I stopped being naturally drawn to the garden to harvest the tomatoes every morning. I have had to remind myself to go pick them and even then I'm only doing it every couple of days.
Consequently, Matt's wild pig has been getting even more over-ripe ones. This pleases him as the only things he likes better is cantelope and strawberries.

Sound Energy Table
The application of Cabalistic sounds is one of the most specific and effective methods to work with energies. We are building a section on working with these energies at patandjean.com and I just put up the table of these sound energies. Franz Bardon's "Key to the True Quabbalah" is one of the best works on these sounds and this table is based on his information as well as the results of our work.

Last night at the monthly meeting of the Lubbock Seekers Society, LaQuetta presented a great workshop on making amulets and talismans. It was experiential so I got to hammer together this copper and tin item. Cool.

Continuing Metaphysical Additions to patandjean.com
Yesterday and today we got up more of the metaphysical development excercises to the patandjean.com websight. The exercise on breathing in the lights has been joined by elemental and chakra development exercises. These are also included in examples of effective daily energy work.

Back to metaphysics basics
I have been working on bringing the metaphysics and spirituality section of patandjean.com along. We hope to offer useful information on working with the subtle energies and this has involved assembling some information and tools that we hadn't taught in a while.
I had put up the graphics on the chakras a while back and yesterday I put up the page on working with the light and color energies.
I was also able to post an excerpt from Ouseley's "Color Meditations" book where he offers 31 daily meditations for developing the ability to work with colors. We used this set of meditations in our classes for developing and clarifying visualization and inner sight.
